Bobbin was very proud of his hat. He
thought it made him look important. Whenever Bobbin went for a walk in the Dead
Wood Forest he would wear his hat.
One day Bobbin was out looking for
mushrooms. The wind started blowing and Bobbin's hat flew off his head. Bobbin
chased after his hat but he could not catch it. After a while Bobbin could not
see his hat anymore. He had lost it.
Bobbin searched and searched for his hat.
Eventually he found a dark cave. Bobbin could see his hat lying in the shadows
of the cave. Bobbin also noticed something strange about the cave; the cave
sounded like it was breathing. The cave was actually the mouth of a huge
dragon, but Bobbin did not know that.
Bobbin climbed inside the cave. He liked
caves because he lived in a cave. This cave was much hotter than Bobbin's cave.
It was also wet and slimy. Bobbin decided to grab his hat and go home to his
own cave. But before Bobbin could get out of the cave, the dragon's mouth
snapped shut.
It was very dark and hot inside the dragon.
Bobbin decided that he would try find a different way out of the dragon, so he
climbed down the dragon’s throat. The dragon felt something scratching his throat so he started to cough, and red flames burst around
Bobbin. Bobbin liked fire, but only when it was cooking his food, not when it
was cooking him. He started jumping up and down and rolling on the floor to try
and escape from the flames. This tickled the dragon’s throat and he started
laughing. The dragon laughed so hard that Bobbin flew out of his mouth and
landed in a tree.
Bobbin decided that he didn’t like losing
things. He also didn’t like finding dragons.
